"There were days when my body was telling me to stop. Giving up was never an option."
At just 20 years old, University of York student Rafe Colman-Chadwick achieved what many seasoned ultra-runners would consider unfathomable. Battling through a knee injury, severe bouts of tonsillitis, and torrential rain in the Scottish Highlands, he ran 872 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in just six weeks.
His motivation is deeply personal. Rafe ran to honour the memory of his father, Damian Colman, who passed away from a glioblastoma in 2018. His incredible drive to raise over £10,000 for Brain Tumour Research - a charity fighting a disease that kills more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer - is a testament to his unbreakable spirit.
He said: "If my challenge helps even one more family by raising awareness, funding more research and encouraging people to demand change, then every mile has been worth it."
Fuelling the distance.
Protecting the miles.
Running the equivalent of more than 33 marathons in six weeks takes an unimaginable toll on the body. To survive the relentless pounding and severe muscular fatigue, Rafe relies on Cramp Killa to keep his muscles firing and prevent cramps from stopping him in his tracks.
Run further.
Cramp less.
If it can get an endurance athlete across the entire length of the UK, it can power your next run. Cramp Killa is proud to donate £1 from every order to Brain Tumour Research.
